Five x Seven is an annual fundraiser, art sale and exhibition benefiting AMOA-Arthouse exhibitions and educational programs.

This robot always felt incomplete to me, but that has all changed with the recent addition of diagonal stripes (see original with solid background below).

If you happen to be on the UT campus between now and the end of May, stop by the Art Building to see my piece on display.  The Directory Gallery is located in the 16” x 28” glass directory case on the elevator wall outside the northeast stairwell door (ART 2.4S5) in the vestibule of the northeast Trinity Street entrance into the Art Building.

My show last Friday was an wondrous success and a really fun party to boot!  Thank you to all who were there in body and/or spirit.  If you were unable to come in person, I would love for you to take a look at the new work that I have posted below!

This is partly inspired by my past as a competitive swimmer, but is not a self-portrait.  This swimmer is random, but the intention is whimsy.  The imagined vintage wallpaper behind her is something that I have painted before in different colors.

I enjoy creating cartoon-style girls in bright colors.  Above is a play on the legend of William Tell.

Painting turned collage.  This painting incorporates found objects (a couple from my old office in the art department).  After leaving my job, I had difficulty sleeping the first night and made this in the wee hours to help process that change.
