Lovebirds in silhouette.  Commission your own.
I painted this self-portrait (and the following portrait of my husband) in celebration of our wedding.  It is adapted from the portrait of The Honorable Mrs. Thomas Graham, painted by Thomas Gainsborough, 1775-1777.  Commission your own portrait based on a historical painting of your choice.

This is a portrait of my husband, Jaime, celebrating our wedding.  It is adapted from the portrait of Monsieur Seriziat by Jacques Louis David, 1795.  Commission your own portrait based on a historical painting of your choice.

Close-up for more detail:

Portrait of a dear friend in the style of a vintage pin-up.  Commission your own portrait!

This is partly inspired by my past as a competitive swimmer, but is not a self-portrait.  This swimmer is random, but the intention is whimsy.  The imagined vintage wallpaper behind her is something that I have painted before in different colors.
I enjoy creating cartoon-style girls in bright colors.  Above is a play on the legend of William Tell.

Original in the William Tell series.

A window into the heart of things.

This series is a fun conversation between a sexy exterior and biological interior.

Painting furniture and bringing art into the potentially mundane.  Commission your own.

Assigned task: combine a skeleton and a sewing machine in a meaningful way.

Assigned task: one object (skeleton) represented in a fluid, multi-faceted way.

Assigned task: self-portrait via a funhouse mirror.

Pretty Robot.
Painting turned collage.  This painting incorporates found objects (a couple from my old office in the art department).  After leaving my job, I had difficulty sleeping the first night and made this in the wee hours to help process that change.
Pocket robot poses for a snapshot. I imagined this little guy on vacation, either part of the family or wishing he were.

More cartoon girls.  This is inspired by my love affair with Jane Austen.

Great Gatsby flapper.

Barbie Coach.

Random flight of fancy.

This painting is based on a photo I took with friends in front of a convex mirror in Praha. Commission your own painting based on your favorite travel photo.

Pet portraits: Darcy the dog in a nod to Warhol.  Commission your own.

Elliot and Cleo are my beloved pets.  Commission your own.

These are from an old series depicting good animals with bad habits.
Painting for decorative purposes.  I might have painted this directly on the wall, but I enjoy constantly rearranging things.

Jelly bean glass pieces are glued to the back of this decorated chair.

Mailbox.  Commission your own.

Deconstructed open road.
